Poster presentations
The poster presenters are requested to take into account the following guidelines regarding the poster format and presentation:
Dimensions
Actual size of the poster panel: height: 2 m., width: 1 m.
Usable size: height: 1, 20 m, width: 0, 80 m.
Poster Heading
Title of the poster: Arial, 60 pt, bold, centred, capital letters
Authors: Arial, 40 pt, centred
First name, initials and surname only. Do not include author’s title or position.
Affiliations: Arial size of font 28pt, centred
Author’s institution name and country
Presenting author photo: Passport type photo
Poster main text
Headings Arial, minimum size of font 36pt
Text: Arial, minimum size of font 24pt
Pictures: High quality pictures – resolution

Each poster session includes:
a) an oral presentation in the conference room. All posters will be presented all together by the session rapporteur. Therefore, the authors are requested to provide to the Conference Secretariat:
- The poster in pdf file.
- One PowerPoint slide including some notes for the rapporteur in order to present the poster in the best possible way. Please download and use the special PowerPoint template.
The pdf file as well as the PowerPoint slide must be sent by email to conference secretariat (im2010@zita-congress.gr) until 23 February 2010. The authors who will not send the two files will be excluded from the Best Poster Award procedure.
b) a visit to the poster area
- Poster presenters should bring with them the printed version of their posters and mount them on Monday, 8 March 2010 from 08.00 to 08:45. Poster panels will be marked with the poster ID-numbers that will be available in the conference Program. It is imperative to use the corresponding panel for each poster. Posters should be fixed to the poster panel using blue tack which will be provided on site.
- Poster presenters are required to stand by their posters during the respective poster session, otherwise the full paper will not be accepted. They are also advised to stand by their posters during the poster sessions of the day that their presentation is scheduled. Authors are requested to remove their posters from the panels the last day of the conference, on Friday, March 12 2010, after the closing session. The organizers have no responsibility to collect and return the posters.
Registration policy
According to conference registration policy, at least one of the poster authors should be registered to the conference.
Best Poster Award
IM 2010 organizers intend to encourage participants to present posters of high scientific quality in terms of clarity, content organization and impact. The submitted posters will be judged by a poster committee. The criteria for the Best Poster Award are:
- Clarity (objectives, methodology and outcomes)
- Scientific impact
- Novelty
- Style
IM2010 Best Poster Award winner will be given a Certificate and one year subscription to RPD journal. The winner will be announced during conference dinner, on Thursday 11 March 2010.
Conference proceedings publication
Full papers will be published as conference proceedings at a special issue of Radiation Protection Dosimetry (early 2011), after being reviewed. The authors are kindly requested to submit their papers according to the rules that the Radiation Protection Dosimetry describes ( "Instructions of authors - special issues" ). Furthermore, authors should use the template provided by the journal.The deadline for full papers submission is the 31st March 2010.
