New European Technical Recommendations for monitoring individuals occupationally exposed to external radiation

The European Commission Directorate General for Energy and Transport has published the new European Technical Recommendations for monitoring individuals occupationally exposed to external radiation. These recommendations are the outcome of the EU-Trimer programme ("Establishment of European Technical Recommendations for Monitoring Individuals Exposed to External Radiation") which was assigned to GAEC in cooperation with EURADOS.

Aiming at the harmonization of individual monitoring methodologies and the establishment of European and international standards, this textbook includes criteria for dosemeters and individual monitoring systems accreditation. The new recommendations were also approved by the Group of Experts of the Article 31 of the Euratom Treaty.
